About Sheryl
I’ve just started blogging, and I think it’s going to be fun. I produce and host a half-hour show called “Creative Living with Sheryl Borden” and have done so for 34 years at KENW-TV. Currently the show is carried on more than 118 PBS stations in over 40 states as well as Canada, Guam and Puerto Rico. Doing the show is the best — I get to work with great students, co-workers, and especially interesting people who come to Portales to be my guests on the show and share their expertise.
I’m married and have 3 grown children and two absolutely darling grandchildren — a grandson who is 9 and a granddaughter who is 3 going on 20. They are truly my “pride and joy” — sounds like a typical grandparent, huh?
I’ve served as a media spokesperson through the years and enjoy doing television and radio interviews. It’s fun to be the one being interviewed since I spend most of my time interviewing other people.
I also do workshops and keynote speakings across the country. Anyone interested in a professional talking about life skills in general or anything relating to the family, give me a call or e-mail me at: sheryl.borden@enmu.edu.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Dear Sheryl, I enjoy your show more than any of the others on UNC channel. I especially like the personal growth portion of your program where you invite special guests to speak about their successes and insight into solving life challenges. The other portion of the program dealing with crafts and food information also seems more practical and relevant to what women need in their daily lives. I wish you a wonderful New Year !

ears ago, the educational channel out of Schenectady, NY carried your show and I watched it everyday ( Worked at and answering service and kept the TV on for company). It made me feel closer to home since I am a Portalesano, Never met you, but Bobby was a year ahead of me in school. And his cousin lived across the street from us for many years. Anyway, I enjoyed your shoe and wish we could still get it now since I am retired and could wach it everyday,

The show is a free offer to any PBS station so you might call your local station and ask them to carry it. A new series will start (the 6200 series which is our 35th anniversary series) on September 7, 2011. I’ll tell Bobby that you wrote.

Hi Sheryl, In this day of 15-second sound bites and the rush, rush, rush of most
TV shows I want to thank you for your diverse, fun and interesting presentations. You are always gracious with your guests, never seem in a rush and allow time for your audience to follow the presentation.
Thank you so much.

I have been watching your show “Creative Living” from the comfort of my home in the greater Pacific NW region of Washington State and LOVE every minute of every episode! My daughter also joins me as we share ideas that we can use from your show with her school, fundraisers, church, and more. Thank you for your quality, family fun show! Excellent. Thank you so very much for watching the show and also for taking time to drop me a note. You definitely made my day brighter. I’m excited about the new season, too. I met my student crew for the first time today and they seem like such nice young people. I enjoy working with them each semester. Again, thanks for watching. If you or your daughter have ideas for segments, please let me know.

Still taping segments for CL. This season is our 39th. Wow, how time flies when you’re having fun. The station celebrates its 40th anniversary in September and we’ll be having a reception during homecoming. Hope you can come. It’ll be on Sat., Sept. 27th at the new Broadcast Center.
